This 2018 Silver 79 Series build showcases an excellent alternative to purchasing a brand new 70 series or starting from scratch. The customer acquired the vehicle second-hand, complete with Portal Axles, Canopy, and a few other touring accessories all the way from W.A., without a pre-purchase inspection. After bringing it into Queensland, the customer entrusted us with the task of bringing the build back to life and incorporating some accessory upgrades. Inspection/Service:
- Marks 4WD Portal Axle Service
- Engine oil and filter replacement
- Bonnet raised to check all fluid levels
- Exterior inspection for damage and operation of mirrors, windscreens, and lights
- Lights operation check performed
- A/C operation, windscreen washers, and wiper operation checked
- Electronic battery test and printout
- Drive belts inspected and adjusted
- Drive line oil levels and condition checked
- Underbody checked for leaks
- Steering and suspension inspected
- Complete driveline components inspected
- Tyre condition, tread wear, and pressures checked, including spare
- Front and rear brakes inspected, handbrake adjusted
- Vehicle lowered, new engine oil added to correct level
- Diagnostic health check performed
- Road tested and any service items or defects requiring attention reported
- Lubrication of all doors, hinges, and locks as necessary
- Fuel filter replaced
- Drive belt removed and replaced
- Wiper blades replaced
