There are a number of myths surrounding aftermarket accessories and vehicle modifications. Due to these myths, many car owners fear that they will void their manufacturer’s warranty if they choose aftermarket accessories instead of dealership ‘preferred’ accessories. However, many aftermarket accessories suppliers may provide a product that is identical to, or actually superior quality to the dealership preferred product. If you have a fault with your vehicle that is the result of a manufacturing fault during your standard warranty period, and the fitment of quality aftermarket accessories and upgrades doesn’t affect this element of your vehicle, then the manufacturer is obligated to fix the manufacturing fault.
WILL VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS IMPACT MY CAR WARRANTY?
Your car warranty will not be impacted when your vehicle is fitted with a fit for purpose part. In the event that a problem does result in the vehicle as a result of the modification, the problem will be covered under the part manufacturer or fitter’s warranty.

To understand how your insurance may or may not be affected by vehicle modifications it is recommended you contact your individual insurer directly. Once you advise them of any modifications made to your vehicle, or what you plan to modify, they will be able to notify you of any impact to your insurance policy and/or coverage.

Ironman 4×4 products are warranted against defects in material or workmanship that cause the product to perform below the specified limits set by Ironman 4×4, to the extent that Ironman 4×4 will repair or replace any parts which are found to be defective.
